Thank you for choosing Ibex Sports Equipment! To maximize product lifespan and safety, follow these universal care guidelines based on material types. Damage from non-compliance may void your warranty.
I. Universal Daily Care
- Environment:
- Store in cool, dry areas—avoid sunlight, heat, humidity (e.g., bathrooms/outdoors).
- Keep away from corrosive agents (pool chlorine, kitchen grease) to prevent rust/material degradation.
- Usage:
- Never exceed weight limits labeled on products.
- Avoid scratching surfaces (varnish, felt, leather)—especially logos.
- Wipe sweat/moisture immediately after use to prevent corrosion/mold.
II. Material-Specific Care
1. Wood Components (Varnished/Unvarnished)
- Varnished: Dry or slightly damp cloth only. NEVER use alcohol/solvents.
- Unvarnished: Dust with dry cloth. If wet → dry instantly + air-dry. Apply wood wax (avoid joints).
- Felt Surfaces: Use soft brush/low-suction vacuum. For stains: dab with baking soda + dry cloth.
2. Metal Parts (Iron, Screws, Rails)
- Monthly: Wipe with rust-prevention oil.
- Existing rust? Lightly sand (600+ grit) → apply rust-resistant paint → contact support for safety check.
3. Leather & Foam
- Leather:
- Wipe with barely damp cloth. Use pH-neutral conditioner quarterly.
- NEVER use bleach/alcohol (fades logos).
- High-Resilience Foam:
- Fluff regularly. If damp → remove cover → air-dry in shade. NEVER heat or compress.
4. Plastic & PU Wheels
- Clean with diluted mild soap (1:50). AVOID acids/alkalis (causes brittleness).
- Replace cracked/deformed wheels promptly.
III. Disassembly & Storage
- Disassembly:
- Follow manual → label/bag screws/parts.
- NEVER force connectors (risks deformation).
- Storage:
- Clean/dry all parts → wrap in anti-dust cloth/bubble wrap.
- Store in original box elevated off floors.
IV. Maintenance Schedule
- Weekly:
- Check loose screws/rust/leather cracks.
- Lubricate moving parts (rails/wheels).
- Quarterly:
- Wood: Adjust care per humidity (more wax in dry climates; dehumidify in damp areas).
- Metal: Reapply rust oil + inspect welds.
V. Warranty & Damage Policy
- Covered: Material/workmanship defects (e.g., wood splits, metal breaks, leather stitching).
- Void If:
- Neglect-induced rust/mold/stains.
- Unauthorized modifications/non-OEM parts/overloading.
- Water immersion, sun exposure, or solvent damage (e.g., varnish peeling, logo fading).

VI. Emergency Handling
- Moisture Exposure:

- Metal: Cool blow-dryer (12+ inches away).
- Wood: Air-dry 72hrs in shade.
- Structural Damage:
- STOP USE → photograph damage → contact support. NEVER self-repair (gluing/welding).
